Anthony DiTaranto is a Music Educator and Tenor based in the New York City area.
Anthony DiTaranto is a music educator and tenor based in the NYC area. He has taught music to public school students in NYC & Westchester, and to every grade, K through 12. He earned an M.A. in Music & Music Education from Teachers College, Columbia University (TC) as well as a B.S.Ed. in Music Education from Hofstra University. At Hofstra, he accepted the Dorothy Hoag Memorial Award for excellence in musical performance and became a licensed music teacher in the state of New York. At TC, he lead a graduate student vocal ensemble and taught applied voice lessons. His performance experience includes operatic and musical theatre productions, classical vocal recitals, barbershop quartet singing, and a multitude of choral performances and tours. Continuing his active involvement in performance, he is currently a member of two semi-professional choirs: the eVoco Voice Collective (evoco.vc) and the Trinity Wall St. Downtown Voices (trinitywallstreet.org/downtownvoices). He has performed and studied vocal technique at Hofstra University, the Manhattan School of Music, and Westminster Choir College. He has studied vocal and applied music pedagogy with Dr. Jeanne Goffi-Fynn, conducting with Dr. David Fryling, and vocal technique with Peter Van Derrick and Gregory Mercer.
